Funeral services for Cora Mae Shoulders, age 65, will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD with Father Chris Johnson, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided Sidney Has No Horse and Fred Cedar Face.
Burial will be at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery.
A two-night wake service will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD.
Cora was born on May 1, 1950 in Pine Ridge, SD to Andrew Shoulders and Christine Cedar Face-Shoulders. She passed away on March 15, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Cora is survived by children Andrea (Joe) Shoulders of Manderson, SD and David (Matilda) Shoulders of Rapid City, SD; sisters Charlene Featherman and Rose Shoulders of Manderson, SD, and Margelyn, Colleen and Deb Shoulders of Scottsbluff, NE; brothers Tim Shoulders and Orlan Shoulders of Manderson, SD; grandchildren Pernell, Payge, Lewis, Andrew, Jayda, Christopher and Kane; great-grandchild Trevan; and numerous nieces and nephews who love her dearly.
Cora was preceded in death by parents Andrew and Christine (Cedar Face) Shoulders; brothers Lester, Seymour, Irdy, Billy and Renay Shoulders; sister Linda Shoulders-LaDeaux; son Percy Shoulders; grandson Emil Red Elk Jr.; and nephews Pernell Shoulders, Calvin LaDeaux, and Donny LeDeaux.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Cora Mae Shoulders.
