Funeral services for Francine Marie Charging Crow-Poor Bear “Canku Maza Win,” age 42, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Little Wound High School Gymnasium in Kyle, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Steve DuBray Sr. and Chris Brooks.
Cremation will follow services.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night at 4:30 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD. The second night will start at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at the Little Wound High School Gymnasium in Kyle, SD.
Francine was born on August 19, 1973 in Pine Ridge, SD to Everette “Isaac” Charging Crow Sr. and Clara Young Bull Bear-Charging Crow. Francine made her journey to the Spirit World on March 24, 2016 at Rapid CityRegionalHospital in Rapid City, SD.
Francine is survived by husband Anthony Poor Bear of Rapid City, SD; father Everette “Isaac” Charging Crow Sr.; daughters Monique M. Poor Bear and Elizabeth R. Charging Crow of Kyle, SD and Isabella Charging Crow of Porcupine; son Elmer Yamni Kills Back III of Kyle, SD; sisters Doris Charging Crow and Marge Charging Crow of the Medicine Root area in Kyle, SD; brothers Randy, Lyle and Everette Charging Crow, all of Kyle, SD; and numerous Hunka brothers and sisters, Hunka sons and daughters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Francine was preceded in death by mother Clara Young Bull Bear-Charging Crow; and brother John Charging Crow Sr.
Sioux Funeral Home, Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Francine Marie Charging Crow-Poor Bear “Canku Maza Win.”
