Funeral services for Denny Fernando Steele Sr., age 39, will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD with Pastor Larry Salway officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Rudy Escamilla.
Burial will be at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD.
Denny was born on January 18, 1977 in Rapid City, SD to Carol Jean Goodman and Vincent Gary Steele Sr. He passed away on March 30, 2016 near Murdo, SD.
Denny is survived by father Vincent Steele Sr. of Rapid City, SD; mother Carol Goodman of Rapid City, SD; brothers Leslie Steele of Sioux Falls, SD and Vincent Steele Jr., Luke Steele, and Nico Steele, all of Rapid City, SD; sisters Sioux Ann Steele-Sahadi of Glendale, AZ and Cecily Steele and Randi Steele of Rapid City, SD; children Cyrus Gilbert-Steele, Carlena Gilbert-Steele, Chloe Gilbert-Steele, and Cassius Gilbert-Steele and their mother, Kerry Gilbert, all of Rapid City, SD; granddaughter Forever Gilbert-Steele; daughter Lakia Rosales and her mother Anna Rosales of Rapid City, SD; sons Daniel Steele and Denny Steele Jr. and their mother Michelle Mesteth of Wood, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Denny Fernando Steele Sr.
