Funeral services for Jason Harley Bettelyoun Sr., age 39, will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the CrazyHorseSchool in Wanblee, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Robert Cross.
Burial will be held at a later date.
A two-night wake service will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD.
Jason was born on September 28, 1976 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alvin Gene Bettelyoun Sr. and Vonnie Bettelyoun. He passed away on April 3, 2016 in Wanblee, SD.
Jason is survived by parents Alvin Bettelyoun Sr. and Vonnie Bettelyoun of Pine Ridge, SD; son Jason Bettelyoun II of Minneapolis, MN; daughters Violet Lerose Bettelyoun and Daisy Haley Bettelyoun of Minneapolis, MN; brothers Alvin and Curtis Bettelyoun of Wanblee, SD; sisters April Bettelyoun of Shakopee, MN and Crystal Bettelyoun of Minneapolis, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jason was preceded in death by grandparents Ross Bettelyoun, Okie Cross, and Grace Cross; uncle George Bettelyoun; brothers John Moves Camp and Mike Jenkins; sister Mary Jo Bettelyoun; niece Caydee Kathryn Bettelyoun; uncles Leon Cross and Vincent Mesteth; and cousin Marisha Mesteth.
