Memorial services for John “Jack” William Geiser of Harrison, NE will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Church of the Nativity in Harrison, NE.
Burial will be at a later date at the Montrose Cemetery.
A Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Church of the Nativity Church.

Jack passed away on April 18, 2016 at the home of his daughter Donita in Chadron, NE. He was 12 days shy of his 88th birthday.
He was born on April 30, 1928 in Crawford, NE to John and Lois Geiser. He attended 1st through 8th grade in Sioux County country school District 23. He stayed out of school for a year to help on the ranch while his brothers finished high school. He attended his 9th grade at the Montrose school, riding his horse to and from, then attended Assumption Academy in Chadron his 10th year. For his 11th year he went to Ardmore, once more having to ride his horse. He then attended Sioux County High in Harrison for his senior year in 1947. After graduation, he went into partnership with his dad and brothers.
On August 28, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Wilma Hanson. To this union, three children were born, daughters Ruth and Donita and son John.
In 1968, he purchased his interest in the ranch.
He served as president of the Ardmore Fire Dist and served two terms as Sioux County Commissioner. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, first in Ardmore, SD and then in Harrison, NE.
He semi-retired in 1997 when he moved to his current home in Harrison. Son John and grandsons JW and Jory have operated the ranch since. For several years he continued to go to the ranch to lend his opinion on how things should be done. Some were appreciated and some not so much. His passion was ranching, and he helped with the windrowing till mid-summer 2015.
He is survived by wife of 65 years Wilma, daughters Ruth (Criss Hamaker) and Donita (Roger Weis), son John (Sandie Geiser), 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, and a great granddaughter on the way.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Lois; sister Dee; brothers Bob and Dick; sister-in-laws Ileene, Mary, Ida Ruth, Olive, Francis, Caroline, and Betty; brother-in-laws Ralph, Bob , Herb, and Dale; son-in-law Pat; grandson Matthew; and great-granddaughter Payton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be grandchildren Craig Hourt, Traci Didier, JW Geiser, Angie Tasich, Tonya Gluth, Jory Geiser, Jace Hourt, Joni LaFleur, Tessa Hamaker, Monte Hamaker, Jerilyn Suridis, Julisa Weis, and Joel Weis.
