Funeral services for Doris Victoria Brave Hawk, age 57, will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be at the No Neck Family Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle.
Doris was born November 22, 1958 in Lake Andes, SD to Andrew Nelson Brave Hawk and Winnona Delores Gilbert. Doris passed away on April 20, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Doris is survived by children Edwin “Thomas” Armour and Robert Brave Hawk of Wyoming, Delores “Lola” Brave Hawk, Annette “Marie” No Neck, Reginald No Neck and Gina Sitting Bear of Kyle, SD, and Nicholas No Neck of Rapid City, SD; siblings Andrea Brave Hawk-Carrazco, Dennis Gilbert and Andrew “Toby” Brave Hawk of Grand Island, NE, Jason Brave Hawk of Houston, TX, Kerry Gilbert, Ila Conners, and Allen Gilbert Sr. of Rapid City, SD, and Ronald Brave Hawk of Nebraska; uncle Elmer Goode of Houston, TX; and 18 grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death by parents Andrew “Boots” Brave Hawk and Winnona Gilbert; brother William “Gus” Gilbert; grandmother Ida Mae Crazy Hawk; grandfather William B. Gilbert; and niece Nevalynn Maria Gilbert.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Doris Victoria Brave Hawk.
