Funeral service for Joseph Gerald Spotted Bear Jr., age 41, will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Lakota Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Fast Horse Creek, SD with Pastor Norman Cash and Pastor Alex Bad Bear III officiating.
Burial will be at the FastHorseFamilyCemetery in Fast Horse Creek, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:30 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Lakota Memorial Church of Nazarene in Fast Horse Creek, SD.
Joseph Gerald Spotted Bear Jr. was born on July 23, 1974 in Pine Ridge, SD to Joseph Spotted Bear, Sr. and Cecelia (Fast Horse) Spotted Bear. Joseph passed away on May 9, 2016 at his home in Reno, NV.
Joseph is survived by mother Cecelia (Fast Horse) Spotted Bear of Fast Horse Creek, SD; children Jody Spotted Bear, Alexis Nightwalker of Scottsbluff, NE and Joseph Dean Romero of Wounded Knee, SD; brothers Joe Little Moon and Eddie Spotted Bear of Pine Ridge, SD, Tom Little Moon and Ted Little Moon of Fast Horse Creek, SD, and Leon Little Moon of Gordon, NE; and sisters Marie Little Moon of Fast Horse Creek, SD and Joann Spotted Bear of Reno, NV.
Joseph was preceded in death by father Joseph Spotted Bear Sr.; sister Sandra Little Moon; and grandparents Louie Spotted Bear, Helen Shot To Pieces-Spotted Bear-Grant, Joseph Fast Horse, and Annie Broken Rope-Fast Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Joseph Gerald Spotted Bear Jr.
