Funeral services for 55 year old Robert Edward “Bob Bear” Eagle Elk Jr. of Pine Ridge will be will be this coming Monday (May 23) at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Pine Ridge, SD with the Reverend Rhoda Mesteth officiating and traditional Lakota services by Ms. Darla Black

Burial will be at a later date.

Robert Edward “Bob Bear” Eagle Elk Jr was born on May 2, 1961 in Pine Ridge, SD to Robert N. Eagle Elk Sr. and Crystal (Cottier) Eagle Elk. Robert passed away on May 16, 2016 at his home in Pine Ridge, SD.

Robert is survived by his father, Robert N. Eagle Elk Sr.; daughters, Marilyn Eagle Elk of Sioux Falls, SD and Brandy Eagle Elk of Pine Ridge, SD; son, Rueben Eagle Elk of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters, Charlene Eagle Elk, Kathleen Eagle Elk and Jolene Bad Heart Bull, all of Pine Ridge, SD; and 4 grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal (Cottier) Eagle Elk; and sisters, Eileen Eagle Elk and Darlene Eagle Elk.
