05/26/2016 - Allen (Tinker) Brave

Funeral services for 48-year old Allen Dean "Tinker" Brave of Minneapolis, will be held Wednesday morning May 25 at10:00 AM at the Re-Creation Center in Oglala with Sister Connie Schmidt officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr. Waylon Black Crow

Burial will be at St. Matthews Episcopal Cemetery, Slim Buttes, SD

A two-night wake service will begin Monday at 1:00 PM, also at the Re-Creation Center in Oglala,

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements for Allen "Tinker" Brave.

Allen “Tinker” Dean Brave, “Canku Ole Hoksila” was born on January 24, 1968 in Pine Ridge, SD to Marvin J. Brave, Sr. and Fidelia F. Swift Bird-Brave.  Allen passed away on May 18, 2016 in Minneapolis, MN.

Allen is survived by his son, David Waters of Wounded Knee, SD; daughter, Katcheri Lynn Waters of Wounded Knee, SD; brothers, Marvin Brave, Jr. and Albert Brave, Jr. both of Pine Ridge, SD, Donald “Zondo” Brave and Renfred Good Lance both of Oglala, SD; sisters, Mona Brave, Lori Bagola, and Dana Chase all of Oglala, SD; 2 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin, Sr. and Fidelia Brave; siblings, Tara Lynn Long and John Wayne Brave; grandparents, Francis and Clara Swift Bird and Wilson and Rebecca Brave; and nephew, Marvin Brave III.
