Memorial services for Beverly Jean Marlatt of Chadron, NE will be at 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Chamberlain Chapel with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at 11:00 AM at the Alliance Veterans Cemetery in Alliance with a lunch to follow at County Kitchen after the services.
A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association the Hospice Service at Chadron Community Hospital. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Beverly was born on July 13, 1937 in Hastings, NE. She had a hard battle and placed her hands in God's hands and went to heaven on June 2, 2016. Now she is at peace and forever free of pain.
The United States Air Force took Beverly and Ken to many different places, such as Nevada, Kansas, Minnesota, Korea and Vietnam and finally a place they called home, Chadron, NE. Ken retired from the Air Force with 26 years of active duty.
Beverly took several jobs during her lifetime, including cafeteria work, selling Avon, and working for K-Mart, where she retired after 20 years of devoted service. She also worked at Camp Norwesca for 7 years and will always be remembered for her loyalty and hard work. She took on a lot of voluntary work, which she loved very much. Flowers and dancing were Beverly’s favorite things to do. She had many friends and extended family that loved her as much as she loved them. She made friends wherever she went.
Within their loving marriage of 60 years, four children were born: Kenneth (Amy) V. Marlatt, Carolyn (Denton) A. Bronson, Susan (George) J. Coleman, Kimberly (Gary) K. Richards as well as seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She is survived by husband Kenneth D. Marlatt; four beautiful children who stood by her side until the end; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters Betty Reeves and Bonnie (Bob) Burton, who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don, Hap (Lavern), and twin brother Bobby, and brother-in-law Melvin, who were all waiting with open arms.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Hospice in Chadron for their loving care and for the many hours of devoted love that they shared with Beverly and her family.
“Mom...you will always be our ‘Wind Beneath Our Wings.’ We will miss you, but God will send us wings some day so we can all be together once again. We know that you are in a better place right now...dancing and planting flowers. You left us with your heart, compassion for life and all your love.”
Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Beverly Jean Marlatt.
