Funeral services for Roy Edward Standen, age 92, of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Edgemont, SD, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Burial services will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery.
A memorial has been established, and donations may be given in Roy’s name to the giver’s choice.

Roy passed away on June 3, 2016 at the Lancaster Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. He was born on July 15, 1923 to Glenn and Fern (Taylor) Standen in Edgemont, SD. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Roy worked on the CB&Q, later the Burlington Northern Railroad in Edgemont, SD and Alliance, NE as a Clerk, until he retired in 1979. He married the love of his life, Eulalie Cutrer on February 23, 1946 in Pineville, LA. They had one daughter, Marcia.
Roy is survived by daughter Marcia (Vernon) Rockey of Hay Springs, NE; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home, serving Edgemont, is in charge of arrangements for Roy Edward Standen.
