Funeral services for Jamie Lee Brave Heart, age 28, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Darla Black.
Burial will be at St. Stephen’s CatholicCemetery in Kyle, SD.
A two-night wake service will start at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Jamie was born on November 10, 1987 in Pine Ridge, SD to Anita Brave Heart. He made his journey to the Spirit World on June 3, 2016 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Jamie is survived by mother Anita Brave Heart of Kyle, SD; spouse Heather Bettelyoun of Rapid City, SD; daughters Leia, Janaeh, and Nevaeh Brave Heart of Rapid City, SD; brothers Mike (Cecelia) Loafer of Martin, SD, Shawn & Krystal Brave Heart of Rapid City, SD, BJ Loafer and Jason Old Horse of Kyle, SD; sister Trisari Loafer of Kyle, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jamie was preceded in death by sister Deanna Loafer; nephew Terrell Janis; and grandparents Alphonso and Jenny Brave Heart and Acey and Yvonne Loafer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Jamie Lee Brave Heart.
