Funeral services for Ceriol James Locke, age 38, will be at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Porcupine Day School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD with Reverend Rhoda Mesteth and Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Rick Two Dogs.
Burial will be at the St. Julia’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Porcupine Day School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.
Ceriol was born on July 4, 1977 in Gordon, NE to Clement Locke and Verla Feather Earring. He passed away on June 12, 2016 in Porcupine, SD.
Ceriol is survived by parents Clement Locke of Porcupine, SD and Verla Feather Earring of Sioux City, IA; siblings Clement Corey Locke of Porcupine, SD, Clarice Locke and Cordney Locke of Minneapolis, MN, Tatiana, Nadia and Cheeta Lafferty, all of Rapid City, SD, Carrie Locke of Sioux Falls, SD, and Clayton Lafferty of Porcupine, SD; maternal grandparents Benjamin Conquering Bear and Alvina Grass, both of Porcupine, SD.
Ceriol was preceded in death by paternal grandparents James Frank Locke and Gladys Short Horn.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Ceriol James Locke.
