Funeral services for Howard Joseph LaRoche, age 64, will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD with Reverend Cheryl Arguello officiating. Special music will be provided by Mariah and Steve Yellow Hawk.
Burial services will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD.
Howard was a veteran in the U.S. Navy. He was born March 22, 1952 at his home in Winner, SD to Morris and Elizabeth (Campbell) LaRoche. He made his journey on June 17, 2016, surrounded by loving family at the Rapid City Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.
Howard is survived by wife Ellen (Brewer) LaRoche of Rapid City, SD; sons Zachariah, Joseph, and Daniel LaRoche of Rapid City, SD; Rochelle Swezey of Rapid City, SD, whom Howard raised; six grandchildren; and dearest oldest sister Marlys Robertson of Waubay, SD.
Howard started his journey to join parents Morris and Elizabeth LaRoche and siblings Bob Prue, Louie LaRoche, Scotty LaRoche, Ethel Finkenbinder, Mary Ellen Star Chief, and Jeanette Kitto.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Howard Joseph LaRoche.
