Funeral services for Lonnie Dean Blue Bird, age 12 days, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Wakpamni District CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD with Reverend Abraham Tobacco officiating.
Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Mission Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Wakpamni District CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD.
Lonnie Dean Blue Bird was born on June 4, 2016 in Rapid City, SD to Ryan Blue Bird and Keisha Hayes. Lonnie began his journey to the Spirit World on June 16, 2016 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Lonnie is survived by parents Ryan Blue Bird and Keisha Hayes of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers Ryan Blue Bird Jr., Robert and Axle Blue Bird, and Pablito Alford of Pine Ridge, SD; uncles Lonnie Dean Richards, Howard Blue Bird, Tommy Blue Bird, Vance Hayes, and Douglas Brown, all of Pine Ridge, SD; aunts Brenda Blue Bird and Relena Hart of Pine Ridge, SD; grandparents Anita Hayes, Alyssa Hart, Dustin Hart, Eric Brings White and Vine Hayes, all of Pine Ridge, SD; and great-grandparents Ken and Lena Hart of Pine Ridge, SD.
Lonnie was preceded in death by grandparents Bryan Blue Bird Sr., Sandra (Richards) Blue Bird and Consuelo Brown; and great-great-grandfather Victor Bissonette.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Lonnie Dean Blue Bird.
