Funeral services for Darlene Sophia Bissonette, age 28, will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD with Charity Hill officiating. Special singers will be Tammy and Roger Bissonette.
Burial will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD.
Darlene was born on January 6, 1988 in Pine Ridge, SD to Norman Runs Above and Rita Bissonette. Darlene began her journey to the Spirit World on June 11, 2016 in St. Francis, SD.
Darlene is survived by mother Rita Bissonette; son Angel Sky Bissonette; daughters Julia Sophia, Cloudya May Storm, and Jasmine Angelic Bissonette of Rapid City, SD; brothers David Bissonette of Manderson, SD and Frank Bissonette of Rapid City, SD; and sister Emma Bissonette of Oglala, SD.
Darlene was preceded in death by grandparents Pamela Little Dog and Robert Little Dog; father Norman Runs Above; cousins Jolene Patton, Jesse Patton, and DJ Iron Horse; and grandma Madeline Bissonette.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Darlene Sophia Bissonette.
