Funeral services for Owen Frank Herrera, age 29, will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be at the Little Killer Family Cemetery in Wanblee, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee, SD.
Owen was born on June 3, 1987 in Scottsbluff, NE to Leon Little Killer and Woniya Herrera. He began his journey to the Spirit World on July 13, 2016 at his home in Wanblee, SD.
Owen is survived by father Leon Little Killer of Wanblee, SD; mother Woniya Herrera of Rapid City, SD; brothers Herman Herrera of Rapid City, Nawt Herrera of Scottsbluff, NE, and Thomas and Ian Herrera of Rapid City, SD; half-brothers Derek Comes From War of Rapid City, SD and Preston Black Bear of Corn Creek, SD; sister Tiana Herrera of Rapid City, SD; grandparents Tillo & Carol Herrera of Martin, SD and Matilda Little Killer of Wanblee, SD; and special uncle Reginald Little Killer of Kyle, SD.
Owen was preceded in death by grandfather Franklin Little Killer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Owen Frank Herrera.
