Funeral services for Orlan Ray Shoulders, age 55, will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Manderson, SD with Father Edmund Yainao officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Sid Has No Horse and Fred Cedar Face.
Burial will be at the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD.
Orlan was born on September 7, 1960 in Pine Ridge, SD to Andrew Shoulders and Christine (Cedar Face) Shoulders. He made his journey to the Spirit World on July 23, 2016 in Manderson, SD.
Orlan is survived by sisters Charlene Featherman and Rose Shoulders of Manderson, SD; son Matthew Shoulders of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Melissa Shoulders of Pine Ridge, SD; grandchildren Lianna and Paxtyn; and all nephews, nieces, and grandchildren who love him dearly.
Orlan was preceded in death by parents Andrew and Christine Shoulders; brothers Seymour, Irdy, Lester, Tim, Billy, and Renay Shoulders; sisters Linda Shoulders-LaDeaux and Cora Shoulders; nephews Pernell, Calvin, Donny, and Percy; and grandsons Emil Jr. and Phuzion Storm.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Orlan Ray Shoulders.
