Funeral services for Isaac C. Last Horse, age 78, will be at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Old American Legion Hall in Martin, SD with Pastor Larry Salway and Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Co-Celebrant will be Reverend Lyle Noisy Hawk Sr. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Richard Moves Camp and Rick Two Dogs.
Burial will be at 2:30 PM on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Black HillsNationalCemetery in Sturgis, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Old American Legion Hall in Martin, SD.
Isaac was a veteran in the U.S. Navy. He was born on June 8, 1938 in Allen, SD to James and Eva (Bad Wound) Last Horse. He made his journey to the Spirit World on August 3, 2016 at the BennettCountyHospital in Martin, SD.
Isaac is survived by brother-in-law Reverend Lyle Noisy Hawk Sr. of Rapid City, SD; nephew Dr. Lyle Noisy Hawk Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; nieces Dr. Lynelle Noisy Hawk of Hardin, MT, Janelle Andrade of Albuquerque, NM, and Shanda Noisy Hawk of Rapid City, SD; son Thomas Dillon of Martin, SD; stepchildren Harold Salway of Wakpamni, SD, Alex Salway, Enos Poor Bear Jr., and Michelle Poor Bear of Martin, SD, and Frieda Poor Bear and Marlene Poor Bear of Rapid City, SD; hunka son Jerry Ray Richards of Martin, SD; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Isaac was preceded in death by parents James and Eva Last Horse; spouse Sophie (Salway) Last Horse; stepchildren Alvin Wayne Salway and Mariellen Ritts; and siblings Mary Emily (Last Horse) Noisy Hawk and Florence Last Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Isaac C. Last Horse.
