Funeral services for Melvin Quiver, age 64, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery in Rockyford, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD.
Melvin was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He was born on March 16, 1952 in Rockyford, SD to mother Stella Flying Hawk. He made his journey to the Spirit World on August 3, 2016.
Melvin is survived by mother Stella Flying Hawk of Rapid City, SD; stepfather Enos Black Bear of Rapid City, SD; and brother Larry Black Bear of Corn Creek, SD.
Melvin was preceded in death by spouse Girlie Swift Bird and grandparents from the Walks Out Family and the Flying Hawk Family.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Melvin Quiver.
