Funeral services for Marion Geraldine Porcupine, age 51, will be at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church in Oglala, SD with Madeline Terry officiating.
A dinner will follow services.
Burial will be held at a later date.
A one-day memorial service will precede the funeral at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Makasan Presbyterian Church in Oglala, SD.
Marion was born on January 16, 1965 in Pine Ridge, SD to Aaron and Sarah (Stands) Porcupine. Marion made her journey to the Spirit World on August 6, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Marion is survived by sons Ramon Two Bulls of Oglala, SD, Jerrid Hernandez of Sharps Corner, SD, Marcus and Justin Lame of Pine Ridge, SD, Jeffrey Porcupine of Oglala, SD and Roger Lame Jr. of Chadron, NE; daughters Roseanne Hernandez of Sharp’s Corner, SD and Stephanie Lame of Chadron, NE; hunka daughter Hilary Sitting Bear of Oglala, SD; sister Minerva Duran of Oglala, SD; hunka sister Audrey Standing Soldier of Pine Ridge, SD; aunts Elizabeth Little Spotted Horse of Oglala, SD and Louise Porcupine-Stands of Minneapolis, MN; uncles Delmar Dreaming Bear and Samuel, Gilmore and George Porcupine, all of Oglala, SD; and cousins Tilden Porcupine and Janet Cheyenne of Oglala, SD and Sybil Russel of Chadron, NE.
Marion was preceded in death by parents Aaron and Sarah (Stands) Porcupine and brother Leon Porcupine.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Marion Geraldine Porcupine.
