Funeral services for Janelle Marsha One Horn, age 27, will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Reverend Cordelia Red Owl officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Robert Two Crow.
Burial will be at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD.
Janelle was born on June 1, 1989 in Pine Ridge, SD to Lewis Wayne One Horn and Donna Mae Turning Hawk. She made her journey to the Spirit World on August 8, 2016 in Kyle, SD.
Janelle is survived by mother Donna Turning Hawk of Kyle, SD; son Kaelem One Horn of Kyle, SD; daughters Ava Young Bear, Emmelia Young Bear, and Makaylee One Horn of Kyle, SD; grandmother Emma Turning Hawk of Kyle, SD; grandfather Willard Kills In Water of Kyle, SD; auntie Corde Old Horse of Kyle, SD; brother Philip Poor Bear of Kyle, SD; sisters Denise Harris of Rapid City, SD, Emmaline “Amy” Poor Bear of Kyle, SD, and Janet One Horn-Harris of Rapid City, SD; nieces and nephews Alaura Harris, Lindsey Harris, Adam Poor Bear, Lyric Harris, Rita Harris, Amanda Poor Bear, Lane Poor Bear, Charles Poor Bear, Alexis Poor Bear, Laveah Poor Bear, Talia One Horn, Lewis Harris, Susie Harris, Junethean Vanderwalker, Beau Duran, Alexandria Duran, and Erica Black Bird; seven grandchildren; and special friend Cameron Young Bear of Kyle, SD.
Janelle was preceded in death by father Lewis One Horn and grandparents Asay Turning Hawk and Mary Rose Kills In Water.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Janelle Marsha One Horn.
