Burial will be at the Runs Against family home in Manderson, SD.

A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD.

Althea was born on August 25, 1940 in Pine Ridge, SD to Moses and Delia (Picket Pin) Runs Against. She made her journey to the Spirit World on August 16, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.

Althea, known to friends and family as Charlene, grew up north of Manderson. She was the youngest of the Runs Against children. In 1960, she wed Jerry W. Dixon and moved to Georgia. In 1999, she returned to Manderson and resided there until her passing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Althea is survived by sons Tim Dixon of Manderson and Todd Dixon of Manderson; companion Gordon Two Hawks of Manderson; sister Claudia Runs Against of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren Ryan (Loretta) Dixon of Morton, MN, Ashton Dixon of Blackshear, GA and Jennifer (Trey) Murray of Homerville, GA; and great-grandchildren Emmarica Larsen, Aubriella Dixon, and Lilyana Dixon, all of Morton, MN.

Althea was preceded in death by parents Moses Runs Against and Delia (Picket Pin) Runs Against; first husband Jerry Dixon; sisters Clara, Dorothy Catherine, Cordelia, Paulina, and Mary Runs Against; and brothers Lloyd, Calvert and Francis Runs Against.
