08/26/2016 - Sherry Wounded Foot
Funeral services for Sherry Ann Wounded Foot, age 50, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Father Chris Johnson, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Pat Ross and Greg Ross.
Burial will be at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD.
A Rosary service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD.
Sherry was born on July 13, 1966 in Rapid City, SD to Jonas Sr. and Florence (Tuttle) Wounded Foot. She made her journey to the Spirit World on August 17, 2016 at the PineRidgeI.H.S.Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Sherry is survived by son Logan Lafferty of Mission, SD; godson Martin Marvin Wounded Foot of Porcupine, SD; daughters Sandra Marie Graham of Porcupine, SD and Dawn Rose Dowty of Rapid City, SD; brothers Jonas Wounded Foot Jr. of Porcupine, SD and Martin Wounded Foot of Sioux Falls, SD; and grandchildren Jynea Cherie, Jered Jace, and Jay Sean St. John, Mario Graham Jr., Lizzie Rae Poorman, MyLeigh Joy Lafferty, Samuel Tristan Lafferty, Layla Jewel Lucy Poorman, Taytum Roan Lafferty, Evolette Adellmarie “Letty” Spotted Tail; Jonathan Bagola Jr., Jacoy Bagola, and Bentley Ray Dowty.
Sherry was preceded in death by baby boy Benjamin Hernandez Jr., beloved mother Florence Tuttle; father Jonas Wounded Foot Sr.; sister Sandra Wounded Foot; and brothers Sanford Alan Wounded Foot, Joe Wounded Foot, Patrick Tuttle, and Art Tuttle.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Sherry Ann Wounded Foot.
