Funeral services for Claudia Lucy Runs Against, age 87, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Bino Garcia.
Burial will be at the Runs Against Family Cemetery in Manderson, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:30 PM on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Manderson, SD.
Claudia was born January 2, 1929 to Moses Runs Against and Delia (Picket Pin) Runs Against. She passed away on August 29, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Claudia is survived by son Michael Lucio of Morton, MN; daughters Juanita Lucio of Rapid City, SD, Sue McComber of Sioux Falls, SD and Kristi Evans of Broken Arrow, OK; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-granddaughter Aria Runs Against of Rapid City, SD.
Claudia was preceded in death by parents Moses Runs Against and Delia (Picket Pin) Runs Against; husband Clifford Lucio Jr.; brothers Calvert Russell Runs Against, Lloyd Aaron Runs Against and Francis Gilbert Runs Against; sisters Catherine Lena Runs Against-White, Cornelia Runs Against-Gilbert, Althea Runs Against-Dixon, Dorothy Runs Against, Clara Runs Against, Mary Eileen Runs Against, and Helena Evelyn Runs Against; and son Faron Runs Against.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Claudia Lucy Runs Against.
