09/10/2016 - Mabel Long Soldier
Memorial services for Mabel Mae Long Soldier “Paha Ska,” age 96, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Gordon Senior Citizen Center in Gordon, NE with Brother Tony Genna officiating.
Burial will be at the Native American Church Cemetery in Potato Creek, SD.
Mabel was born on May 14, 1920 to Daniel and Sally Bullman in Indian Creek, SD. She made her journey to the Spirit World on September 4, 2016 at the Bennett County Nursing Home in Martin, SD.
Mabel is survived by sons Daniel (Robin) Long Soldier of Lincoln, NE and Sylvester Long Soldier of Rapid City, SD; daughters Amy Long Soldier-Black Crow of Kimball, NE and Idena Germaine Long Soldier of Gordon, NE; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mabel was preceded in death by parents Daniel and Sally; spouse Clarence Long Soldier; children Thelma Long Soldier, Aloysius Long Soldier, Laura Long Soldier, Larry Long Soldier, Richard Long Soldier, Johnny Long Soldier, Harley Long Soldier, and Edwin Long Soldier; brothers Thomas, Frank, Joseph, Moses, & Paul Bullman; and sister Ida Bullman.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Mabel Mae Long Soldier “Paha Ska.”
