A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Joseph Brewer III, age 57, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD with Father Christopher Johnson, S.J., and Joyce Tibbitts officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Albert Sullivan, Junior Black Feather, and Joey Black Feather.
Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Father Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD.
Robert was born on October 2, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Robert Brewer II and Loretta (White) Brewer. He passed away on September 7, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Robert is survived by mother Loretta Brewer of Rapid City, SD; sons Robert Brewer IV and Billy Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD, and Francis Brewer of Rapid City, SD; brothers Mitch Brewer of Rapid City, SD and Lance Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters Jody Brewer of Rushville, NE, Dalonnie Fisher of Lebanon, CT, Mary Brewer of Sioux Falls, SD, Carrie Brewer of Kyle, SD, Janelle Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD, Troy Lynn Brewer of Chadron, NE, and Connie Brewer of Rapid City, SD; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by father Robert Joseph Brewer II and brothers Paul Wayne Brewer and Dennis Brewer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Robert Joseph Brewer III.
