Funeral services for Roselyn Doris Little Bear, age 78, will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull and Colynn Condon Sr. officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Mike Little Boy Sr.
Burial will be at the Messiah Episcopal Church Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
Wake services will begin at 2:30 PM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee, SD.
Roselyn was born on March 1, 1938 in Wounded Knee, SD to Alex Paul Thunder Horse and Mary Bad Bear. She made her journey to the Spirit World on September 7, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Roselyn is survived by children Tim Romero, Mary Palmier, Dallas Yellow Shield, Sharon Condon, Sheryl Yellow Shield, Wayne Yellow Shield Sr., and Erna Yellow Shield, all of Wounded Knee, SD; brother Robert Thunder Horse Sr. of Wounded Knee, SD; 29 grandkids; and 47 great-grandkids.
Roselyn was preceded in death by parents Alex Paul Thunder Horse Sr. and Mary Bad Bear; spouse Dallas Little Bear Sr.; son Glenn Little Bear; brothers Paul Thunder Horse Jr. and Tim Thunder Horse Sr.; and sisters Gertrude and Irene Thunder Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Roselyn Doris Little Bear.
