Funeral services for Crystal Bridgette Red Owl, age 44, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with Reverend Cordelia Red Owl officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Darla Black.
Burial will be at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Kyle, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM at Friday, September 16, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall in Kyle, SD.
Crystal was born on January 10, 1972 in Pine Ridge, SD to Martin Red Owl and Mercy Iron Crow. She made her journey to the Spirit World on September 11, 2016 in Kyle, SD.
Crystal is survived by mother Mercy Iron Crow of Kyle, SD; sons Tayshon Long Soldier and Taten Red Owl of Kyle, SD; brother Bryan Red Owl Sr. of Kyle, SD; sisters Colette Red Owl and Dainna Red Owl of Kyle, SD; adopted brothers Larry Cottier of Minneapolis, MN and Cyrus Cottier of Kyle, SD; hunka brother Larry Romero of Wanblee, SD; grandchild Jureya Long Soldier of Kyle, SD; and life-long special friend Shaun Long Soldier of Kyle, SD.
Crystal was preceded in death by father Martin Red Owl; daughter Tashauni Long Soldier; son Anfernee Long Soldier; brother Willy Bissonette; and grandparents Jenny Brave Heart and Della Smith.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Crystal Bridgette Red Owl.
