Funeral services for Calvin Lewis Mills, age 86, will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Christopher Johnson and Charles McGaa officiating.
Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
Calvin was a veteran in the United States Marine Corps.
Calvin was born on November 11, 1929 in Pine Ridge, SD to James and Jessie (Hairy Bird) Mills. He made his journey to the Spirit World on September 15, 2016 at the Rapid CityRegionalHospital in Rapid City, SD.
Calvin is survived by children Gary Mills of Pine Ridge, SD, Cindy Mills of Pine Ridge, SD, Steve Mills of Seattle, WA, and Darrell Mills Sr. of Pine Ridge, SD and grandsons Darrell Mills Jr. of Rapid City, SD, Corey Mills of Pine Ridge, SD, Jesse Renteria of Washington D.C., Calvin Renteria of St. Paul, MN, and Thomas Mills and Damiana Mills of Pine Ridge, SD.
Calvin was preceded in death by parents James and Jessie Mills; spouse Delores Mills; son James Mills; sister Elizabeth Mills; brother Benjamin Mills; and granddaughter Darelyn Mills.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Calvin Lewis Mills.
