Dorothy Rose Yankton was born on October 21, 1922 to James Little Bear (Sioux Bob) and Lucy Bissonette. She entered the Spirit World on October 2, 2016 at her home in Pine Ridge, SD.

Dorothy is survived by her nephews, Benjamin Tyon Sr. of Pine Ridge, SD and Louis Tyon Sr. of Park City, UT; special friends, Lenora Waters, Caroline Brown Bear, and Leona Vitalis, all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Betty Schultes of Rushville, NE; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James Little Bear (Sioux Bob) and Lucy Bissonette; husband, Edward Yankton; brothers, Eugene and Nicholas Little Bear; and sisters, Carrie (Little Bear) Gerry, Sarah (Little Bear) Tyon, and Charmaine Young.

Pallbearers will be: Rodney Tyon, Charles Tyon, Louis Tyon Jr., Gene Tyon Jr., Jesse Tyon, Terry Campos, Delaney Tyon and Jeanne Eagle Bull-Oxendine

Wake Services:  One day service starting at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.

Funeral Services:  1:00 PM, Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD
