10/08/2016 - Robert Wesley Buchan Jr.

Robert Wesley Buchan Jr. passed away at his home in Tempe, AZ on September 29th, 2016. Robert was born in Enid, OK on August 18th, 1953.

He grew up in Gordon, NE and graduated from Gordon High School in 1972. Shortly after graduation he joined the Army and served for 6 years before being honorably discharged in 1983. Bob was married to Judy Rieger and of this union two girls were born: Heather in 1974 and Skye in 1977. In 1983, Bob married Chris Benson.

Bob is survived by his two daughters, Heather and Skye. He had three grandchildren: Chandler, Sidney and Emma, all of Pierre, SD. He is also survived by his mother Bertha of Rushville, NE and 3 siblings: Burton Buchan and his wife Rosie of Texico, NM; Barbara Buchan-Schrader and her husband Richard of Rapid City, SD; and Byron Buchan and his wife Kim of Gordon, NE. Bob also had many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and brother, Willard.

Services will be held at the Gordon City Auditorium in Gordon, NE on October 8th, 2016 at 10 AM. Funeral arrangements were made by Abel Funeral Home and Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home.
