Funeral services for Charles Wayne Shot With Arrow Sr. “Wicahpi Saglogan” (Eight Stars), age 67, will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD with Reverend Rhoda Mesteth officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by David Swallow.
Burial will be at the Inestimable Gift Episcopal Cemetery in Allen, SD.
A two-day wake service will start at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD.
Charles was a veteran in the U.S. Army. He was born on December 31, 1948 to Leroy Janis and Louise Shot With Arrow. He entered the Spirit World on October 5, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Charles is survived by wife Wilma Shot With Arrow of Allen, SD; daughters Chastity Shot With Arrow, Charmaine Shot With Arrow, DeAnn Shot With Arrow, Jessica Shot With Arrow, Tina Shot With Arrow, and Carla Shot With Arrow, all of Allen, SD, Charlene Blacksmith of White Horse, SD, and Sonja Shots of Bismarck, ND; stepdaughters Tracy Tallman and Cecelia Tallman of Allen, SD; adopted daughter Latonya Tallman of Kyle, SD; sons Deon Shots of Couer d’Alene, ID, Milo Shots and Sunshine Tallman of Kyle, SD, Charles Shot With Arrow Jr. and Trudell Shot With Arrow of Allen, SD; brothers David Wounded Head and Dennis Wounded Head of Potato Creek, SD; sisters DeVonna Wounded Head of Rapid City, SD and Donita Little Whiteman of Kyle, SD; special grandson Shilo Tallman of Kyle, SD; and numerous grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Charles was preceded in death by parents Leroy Janis and Louise Shot With Arrow; brothers Ronald Shot With Arrow, Delmar Wounded Head and Dale Wounded Head; sister Darlene Wounded Head; and daughter Sue Shot With Arrrow.
