Funeral services for Joseph Andrew Star, age 25, will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with Reverend Abraham Tobacco officiating.
Burial will be at the Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.
Joseph was born on June 4, 1991 in Pine Ridge, SD to Duane Star Sr. and Flora Bird Head. He made his journey to the Spirit World on October 12, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
Joseph is survived by father Duane Star Sr. of Rapid City, SD; older sister Frenchone One Horn of Rapid City, SD and her children Madeline and Winter One Horn and Alexandrea Thunder Hawk, all of Rapid City, SD; brother Duane (Junebug) Star Jr. of Rapid City, SD and his children Serenity Cante Canby-Star and Michael Wayne Star of Rapid City, SD; and adopted mothers Wilma and Theresa Kurylas of Rapid City and Marina Fast Horse of Pine Ridge, SD.
Joseph was preceded in death by mother Flora Bird Head.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Joseph Andrew Star.
