Funeral services for Ariana Joan Brewer “Thun Povi” (Sun Flower), 22-week stillborn, will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Charles McGaa officiating. Traditional Lakota Services are To Be Announced.
Burial will be at the Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
Ariana was born and entered the Spirit World on November 7, 2016 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Ariana is survived by parents Joseph Brewer and Kristen Ferguson of Pine Ridge, SD; siblings Avery Brewer, Josiah Brewer, Emilliah Herman, Devin Brewer, Aileana Brewer, and Joseph Brewer Jr.; maternal grandparents Shawna Runnels of Batesland, SD and Calvin Ferguson of Kyle, SD; paternal grandparents Brenda Perez-Brewer and Lawrence “Lance” Brewer of Pine Ridge, SD; maternal great-grandparents Ettamae Runnels of Batesland, SD and Theresa Ferguson and Larry Montileaux of Kyle, SD; and paternal great-grandparents Victor Perez of Santa Fe, NM and Loretta Brewer of Rapid City, SD.
Ariana was preceded in death by paternal great-grandmother Nancy Red Cloud-Perez; paternal great-great-grandparents Chief Oliver Red Cloud, Ellen Red Cloud, Tillie & Shano Perez, and Robert Brewer Jr.; and maternal great-great-grandfather George Blaine White Eyes.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Ariana Joan Brewer “Thun Povi” (Sun Flower).
