Dale went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2016 at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, NE. He was born on November 14, 1931 at Elsi VanTreek residence of Crawford, NE to Charles (Chalk) and Christine Reynoldson. As a young man he grew up west of Belmont, NE, where he attended the Belmont grade school. Then he went to CrawfordHigh School and graduated in 1950.
In 1952, Dale joined the US Air Force. Two of the four years were served in Tripoli, North Africa.
On March 8, 1954, he married Leola M. Garner. They made their home southwest of Crawford. To them, three sons were born, twins Ricky and Randy and Mike. Dale farmed and ranched until their divorce in 1978.
In March 1982, he married Naomi Ellis (Glendy). Together they bought the Sno White Laundry mat from Don Harkin.
Dale was a charter member of the Eagles Club in Crawford, and a member of the Highway 20 Tractor club where he enjoyed driving his restored tractors on the tractor cades. He enjoyed driving, didn’t matter what it was, truck, cars, farm equipment, if it had a motor and wheels he’d drive it. He had a hay truck and hauled bales and stacks all over the region for several years. He also shuttled cars for Tommy’s Car Lot in Chadron, which is where his love of trading cars must has come from. If he drove it and liked it, he’d trade it, which he did up to the month before his death. He also delivered prescriptions for Peterson Drug to Alliance, Scottsbluff and Crawford. He continued working for Henkens for several years. Dale also sold carports for a short time before he decided to slow down and actually retire.
A few years before Naomi’s passing, they moved to Chadron to be closer to her doctors. Naomi passed away 1999.
Naomi’s caretaker, Doris Bartlet, helped keep Dale going for 14 years after. As his health started to fail, he moved back to Crawford so he was closer to Mike. He bought a little house and proceeded to make it home. Dale enjoyed life, his family, and lots of close friends. He especially enjoyed his most faithful companion, Koko, his beloved Schnauzer. You didn’t see one without the other.
Dale loved giving everyone a hard time and getting back as much as he gave. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by son Mike (Diane); grandsons Skip (Mandy) Chubb and Ryan and friend Tiffany of Wheatland, WY; step-granddaughter Melissa (Robert) Price of Scottsbluff, NE; stepsons Tim (Deb) Glendy and Kip (Shayna) Glendy, stepdaughter Shari (Dave) Siems; brother Don (Delila) of Lincoln, NE; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Ricky, son Randy, and wives Leola and Naomi.
Chamberlain Chapel is in charge of arrangements for Dale L. Reynoldson.
