Graveside services for Robert (Bob) Louis Hampton, age 87, formerly of Chadron, NE, will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 18, 2016 at CalvaryCemetery in Chadron with Father Todd Philipsen officiating. There was also a memorial service at Roeder Mortuary (2727 N. 108^th St.) in Omaha.

Bob was born December 28, 1928 to Walter and Florence Hampton in Chadron, NE and passed away on November 11, 2016 in Omaha, NE, where he lived for many years. He graduated from ChadronPrepHigh School and received a bachelor's degree from Chadron State College. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Ramona Jenkins in 1955. Bob worked many years as a engineer and train master for the Chicago Northwestern railroad in Chadron. He was very active in the Elks club, VFW and American Legion.

Bob was preceded in death by wife Ramona, parents Walter and Florence Hampton, and sister Hope Weaver.

He is survived by children Teresa, Bobby and Mike Hampton and Tammy Langfeldt; brother James Hampton; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
