Funeral services for Rodney Steven Mousseau “Tatanka He’ Luta,” age 57, will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Red Shirt Table School Gymnasium in Red Shirt Table, SD with Reverend Robert Two Bulls officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Michael Catches Enemy.
Burial will be at Christ Church Episcopal Cemetery in Red Shirt Table, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night at 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD. The second night will start at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Red Shirt Table School Gymnasium in Red Shirt Table, SD.
Rodney was born on December 29, 1958 in Cincinnati, OH to Richard and Norene (Two Bulls) Mousseau. He made his journey to the Spirit World on November 16, 2016 at the PineRidgeI.H.S.Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Rodney is survived by children Shane Mousseau of Rapid City, SD and Mariah Mousseau of Pine Ridge, SD; brother Richard Mousseau of Calico, SD; sister Debbie Mousseau of Oglala, SD; hunka siblings Annie Red Bow of Oglala, SD, Lou Diamond Phillips of California, Dick Darnell of Colorado Springs, CO, John Fursco of Stowe, VT, and Mark Reed of California; and grandchildren Bradley Mousseau, Theodore Mousseau, Madison Mousseau, Ariana Dreamer and Percy Dreamer.
Rodney was preceded in death by parents Richard Mousseau and Norene (Mousseau) Two Bulls; hunka parents Maize Two Bulls and Stephen Red Bow; brother Michael Mousseau; hunka brother Buddy Red Bow; and grandchildren Baby Girl Moussau and Ares Dreamer.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Rodney Steven Mousseau “Tatanka He’ Luta.”
