Funeral services for Lois Marie Brave, age 38 weeks stillborn, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Re-Creation Center in Oglala, SD with Charles McGaa and Sister Connie Schmidt officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Ivis Long Visitor.
Burial will be at the Brave/Good Lance Family Cemetery in Oglala, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD. The second night will start at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Re-CreationCenter in Oglala, SD.
Lois was born and passed away on November 27, 2016 at the PineRidgeI.H.S.Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Lois is survived by parents Cyrus Brave and Jessica Red Shirt of Pine Ridge, SD; brother Quentin Red Shirt of Pierre, SD; sister Cylinna Brave of Pine Ridge, SD; grandparents Lois Two Bulls of Red Shirt, SD, Albert Brave Jr., Robert Red Shirt Sr. and Bonnie Richard, all of Pine Ridge, SD; and great-grandparents Corrine Brave and Anna Brave of Oglala, SD.
Lois was preceded in death by grandparents Albert Brave Sr., Edna Apple, Emma Richard and Tom Richard.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Lois Marie Brave.
