Funeral services for Dina Rose Iron Rope, age 33, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Sam Moves Camp.
Burial will be at the Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Kennedy Hall in Wanblee, SD.
Dina was born on December 11, 1982 in Pine Ridge, SD to Paul J. Iron Rope and Maxine Spotted Elk. She made her journey to the Spirit World on November 22, 2016 at the PineRidge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Dina is survived by sons Savon Doyle of Wanblee, SD and Lucian Iron Rope of Pine Ridge, SD; daughters Jakayla Spotted Elk-Robideau of Wanblee, SD and Neicomas Moves Camp of Hisle, SD; brothers Paul Iron Rope of Wanblee, SD and Trudell Iron Rope, Rydell Iron Rope and Calvin Iron Rope, all of Rapid City, SD; sisters Mary Iron Rope of Sterling, CO, Susie Iron Rope of Alabama, and Cathy Iron Rope, Joanette Iron Rope, Susie Iron Rope, Audrey Iron Rope, and Valen Iron Rope, all of Wanblee, SD; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dina was preceded in death by parents Paul Iron Rope and Maxine Spotted Elk and grandparents Martha Cutt, Homer Red Eyes, Susie Chipps, and Paul Iron Rope.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Dina Rose Iron Rope.
