Funeral services for Marissa Bracha, age 20, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Parmelee, SD with Deacon Ben Black Bear and Pastor Andrew Utech officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Roy Stone.
Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Parmelee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 2:00 PM (CT) on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Soldier Creek Hall in Soldier Creek. The second night will start at 5:00 PM (CT) on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church Hall in Parmelee, SD.
Marissa was born on May 17, 1996 in Valentine, NE to Robert Bracha Sr. and Laura Running Horse. She made her journey to the Spirit World on November 30, 2016 in Sioux Falls, SD.
Marissa is survived by father Robert Bracha Sr. of Parmelee, SD; mother Laura Running Horse of Kyle, SD; brothers Robert Bracha Jr. of Rapid City, SD and Timothy Bracha of Kyle, SD; sister Jasmine Bracha of Winner, SD; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Marissa was preceded in death by grandparents Reuben and Cecelia Running Horse, Theresa Spotted Elk, and Joe Bracha; aunts Shirley Running Horse and Patty Bracha-First; and cousins Colleen Running Horse and Joey Running Horse.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Marissa Bracha.
