12/15/2016 - Lisa Attack Him-White Face
Funeral services for Lisa Ann Attack Him-White Face “Pte San Waste’ Win,” age 52, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD with Father Rick Abert, S.J., officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by John Keya Attack Him and Steve DuBray Jr.
Burial will be at the Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.
A one-night wake service will start at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.
Lisa made her journey home on December 7, 2016 in Scottsbluff, NE. She was born on December 28, 1963 to John and Cordelia (Good Shield) Attack Him in Pine Ridge, SD.
Lisa attended elementary school at Our Lady of Lourdes in Porcupine, SD, where she played tackle football; she was the only girl on the team. She was a champion traditional dancer and traveled all over on the pow wow trail with her family. Lisa attended CookTheologicalSchool in Tempe, AZ and finished her education there. She became a Lay Reader in the Episcopal Church. She also enjoyed beading and sewing star quilts.
Lisa is survived by sons Floyd Attack Him of Rapid City, SD and Dalton White Face of Pine Ridge, SD; sisters Lolita (Steve) DuBray and Pamela (Jim Cross) Attack Him of Allen, SD; hunka sisters Oyate, Faith, and Tipi Means of Nebraska; hunka brother Red Boy Means of Rapid City, SD; three nieces; seven nephews; and nine grandchildren whom she loved, especially her beloved Matthew and Junior.
Lisa was preceded in death by parents John and Cordelia (Good Shield) Attack Him; brothers John Jr. and Floyd Attack Him; maternal grandparents Phillip and Helen (Eagle Bear) Good Shield; sister Nola Jean; hunka parents Everett and Hildegard Catches; and baby son Greely Hobart Jr.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Lisa Ann Attack Him-White Face “Pte San Waste’ Win.”
