A “Celebration of Life” for Rick Stetson, age 67, of Chadron, NE will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron, NE.

Burial will be in the CrawfordCityCemetery in Crawford, NE.

Rick went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 13, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. He was born December 30, 1948 to Wanda and Cleo Stetson in Crawford, NE and was the third of six sons.

He graduated from CrawfordHigh School in 1967 and attended Chadron State College. On June 26, 1971, he married Sandi Carnahan. To this union, son Eric was born.

Rick managed a Lampert Lumber Yard and Country General Farm and Ranch. After moving to Chadron, he continued to work as a sales associate and retired from Bomgaars in 2015. Shortly after retirement, he suffered with health issues, fighting a courageous battle.

Risk was a sports enthusiast, having participated in football, basketball, track, baseball and golf. Through the years he played league softball, volleyball, basketball, golf and bowling.

The highlight of his later years was resounding pinochle games with his brothers and numerous card games with friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and mother-in-law Peggy Carnahan.

He is survived by wife Sandi; son Eric; siblings Ken, Dan (Gayle), Bill (Anna) and Brad; all of Chadron, NE and Duane (Jeannine) of Grand Island, NE; many nephews, nieces, and cousins; and father-in-law Jack Carnahan.
