Funeral services for George Irving Clements, age 80, will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge, SD with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., officiating.
Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge, SD.
A one-night wake service will begin at 2:30 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Church in Pine Ridge, SD.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Army.
George was born on December 31, 1935 in Crawford, NE to Thomas Clements Sr. and Nancy Hatt. He made his journey to the Spirit World on December 17, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
George is survived by children Aaron, George, Craig, Greg, Rodney and Lori Clements, all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Alan Clements of Cincinnati, OH; brothers Jim Clements of Crawford, NE and Pat Clements of Columbus, NE; grandchildren Christopher Clements of Pine Ridge, SD and Katie Clements of Wisconsin; sister-in-law Joyce (Bear Robe) Steele of Pine Ridge, SD; and brother-in-law Charles Bear Robe of Rapid City, SD.
George was preceded in death by parents Thomas Clements Sr. and Nancy Hatt; wife Agnes Bear Robe; brothers William “Hodge” and Thomas Clements Jr.; and sisters Francis and Rosemary Clements.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for George Irving Clements.
