Funeral services for Carol Jane Bianas-Hornbeck, age 65, will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD with Reverend Abraham Tobacco and Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating.

 

Burial will be at the Porcupine Presbyterian Cemetery in Porcupine, SD.

A two-night wake service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine, SD.

 

Carol was born on October 26, 1961 in Pine Ridge, SD to Burgess Bianas Sr. and Tina Lone Hill. She made her journey to the Spirit World on December 27, 2016 at the Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.

 

Carol is survived by daughters Kayla Gomez and Devonna Velazquez of Porcupine, SD, Myrna Kills Back of Rapid City, SD, and Georgia Hornbeck, Timber Hornbeck, Ariejo Hornbeck, and Marquita Hornbeck, all of Porcupine, SD; sons Joseph Hornbeck IV, Marshall Hornbeck, and Cody Hornbeck, all of Porcupine, SD; sisters Marletta Soldier Wolf of Porcupine, SD, Tiffany Bianas of Pine Ridge, SD, Dawn Lone Hill of Arizona, and Anola Bianas of Rapid City, SD; brothers Lloyd Bianas Sr. of Batesland, SD, Denver Bianas of Oglala, SD, Burgess Bianas Jr. of Batesland, SD, Dennis Lone Elk of Porcupine, SD, and Shawn Bianas of Montana; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Carol was preceded in death by husband Joseph Hornbeck Jr.; mother Tina Lone Hill; father Burgess Bianas Sr.; sisters Vonda and Kathy Bianas; son-in-law Simon Gomez; grandchildren Dacia Perez, Samuel Hornbeck, Legend Esquivel, and Baby Hornbeck; and brother Leo Bianas.
