Funeral services for Lawrence Thomas Harvey, age 23, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at the Wounded Knee District School Gymnasium in Manderson, SD with Reverend Stanley Hollow Horn Jr. officiating. Traditional services will be provided.
Burial will be at the Hollow Horn Family Cemetery on White Horse Creek Road in Manderson, SD.
A two-night wake service will start at 4:30 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Wounded Knee District School Gymnasium in Manderson, SD.
Lawrence was born on September 18, 1993 in Pine Ridge, SD to Thomas Harvey Sr. and DeeAnn White Hawk. He made his journey to the Spirit World on December 28, 2016 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Lawrence is survived by father Thomas Harvey Sr.; mother DeeAnn White Hawk; brothers Jacob Harvey, Justin Harvey, Thomas Harvey Jr., Cruz Romero and Inyan (Black Elk) Winkelman, all of Manderson, SD; sisters Neesha Harvey, Sarah Harvey, and Larissa (Harvey) Early, all of Manderson, SD, La’Tanya Harvey of Kyle, SD, Tanya Jealous of Rapid City, SD, Dusti Rose Cedar Face of Pine Ridge, SD, and Christina Eagle Hawk of Manderson, SD; aunt Charlotte Black Elk of Manderson, SD; and cousins Geraldine Black Elk of Manderson, SD and Tokala Clifford of Los Angeles, CA.
Lawrence was preceded in death by grandparents Edward Harvey, Irene (Hollow Horn) Harvey, Maria Chase Alone, and Ernest White Hawk; and great-grandmother Emma (Hollow Horn) Plenty Wolf.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Lawrence Thomas Harvey.
