Funeral services for Louis “Louie” Antoine Good Buffalo, age 71, will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the LakotaMemorialChurch of the Nazarene in Fast Horse Creek near Wounded Knee, SD with Reverend Alex Bad Bear III and Reverend Norman Cash officiating.
Burial will be at Fast Horse Creek Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin with the first night starting at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD. The second night will start at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the LakotaMemorialChurch of the Nazarene in Fast Horse Creek near Wounded Knee, SD.
Louie was born on June 16, 1945 in Pine Ridge, SD to Daniel Good Buffalo and Bertha Omaha Boy. He passed away on December 31, 2016 at the BennettCountyHospital and Nursing Home in Martin, SD.
Louie is survived by family friends Leon Little Moon and family of Gordon, NE; cousin Charlie Waters of Pine Ridge, SD; 28 (adopted) grandchildren; and 13 (adopted) great-grandchildren.
Louie was preceded in death by parents Daniel Good Buffalo and Bertha Omaha Boy and siblings Tony, Manuel, Goldie and Darlene Good Buffalo.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Louis “Louie” Antoine Good Buffalo.
