Funeral services for Florence Irma Temlitz Beseke, age 96, will be at 1:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery near Oelrichs, SD.
A memorial has been established for the Oelrichs Volunteer Ambulance Service in Oelrichs, SD.
Florence passed away on January 11, 2017 at her home in Oelrichs, SD. She was born on November 28, 1920 to Henry and Ricky (Kalmbrunn) Temlitz in Jackson, MN. She lived on a farm near Jackson her first six years until the family moved to a farm south of Lakefield, MN, where she spent the remainder of her childhood.
During the war years, Florence worked for Fairmont Railway Motors in support of the war effort. In August 1947, she married Arlo Beseke and resided near Alpha, MN until 1950. In January 1950, they moved to Oelrichs to farm and ranch. They ran the ranch and farm until 1978 before moving into Oelrichs. At this time, Florence went to work at the school cafeteria with Leona Dryden.
Florence is preceded in death by parents Henry and Ricky Temlitz; brothers William and Arnold; sister Dorothy; husband, Arlo; and son Wayne.
Florence leaves daughter Cheryl Hunt; sons Roger (Joyce) Beseke, Ronald Beseke, and Curtis Beseke; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD is in charge of arrangements for Florence Irma Temlitz Beseke.
