Funeral services for Yvonne Grace Has No Horse, age 61, will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Justin Poor Bear, Steve DuBray, and Warren Yellow Hair.
Burial will be at the Trinity Episcopal Cemetery, Yellow Bear Canyon, in Allen, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Allen CAP Office in Allen, SD.
Yvonne was born on October 11, 1955 in Pine Ridge, SD to Arthur and Priscilla (Plenty Arrows) Has No Horse. She made her journey to the Spirit World on January 20, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Yvonne is survived by father Arthur Has No Horse Sr. of Hot Springs, SD; sons David Lovejoy, Thomas Doodson, and Jerry Has No Horse of Allen, SD; daughter Lucille Has No Horse of Allen, SD; sisters Linda Little Elk of Parmelee, SD, Pattie DuBray of Allen, SD, Arlette Has No Horse of Wanblee, SD, Debbie Bad Milk of St. Francis, SD, Julia Has No Horse of Rapid City, SD, Sharon Has No Horse-Two Crow and Shirley Has No Horse-Left Hand of Wakpamni, SD, Madeline Plenty Arrows of Allen, SD, and Cheryl and Lori Morse of Iowa; brothers Arthur Has No Horse Jr. of Allen, SD, Jonathan Long Solider of Fort Yates, ND, Wayne Has No Horse of New Hampshire, Julius Has No Horse of Potato Creek, SD, and Sidney Has No Horse of Wakpamni, SD; grandchildren Makayla and Shari Briggs, Shawn Brown, Seanna Has No Horse, Julian and Samuel Cortier, Sage Has No Horse, and Neveah and Heaven LoveJoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was preceded in death by mother Priscilla Plenty Arrows-Has No Horse; paternal grandparents Morris and Ethel (Chips) Has No Horse; maternal grandparents William and Mary (White Eagle) Plenty Arrows; granddaughter Carly Cortier; grandson Keith Brown Jr.; and aunt Doreen Plenty Arrows.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Yvonne Grace Has No Horse.
