02/17/2017 - Eric 'T.J.' Jensen
Funeral services for Eric Theodore James “T.J.” Jensen, age 46, will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Sister Barb officiating.
Burial will be at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery near Oglala, SD.
A two-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
T.J. was a veteran in the U.S. Marines. He was born on January 8, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD to Francis “Buzzy” Jensen and Jennifer Black Feather. He made his journey to the Spirit World on February 10, 2017 in Pine Ridge, SD.
Eric attended school at Pine Ridge and Red Cloud and graduated from RedCloudIndianSchool. On October 24, 1990, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his tour of duty, he participated in Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Operation Restore Hope. He was discharged on January 23, 1994 with the rank of Corporal.
Eric went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in computer science. He was very proud of his children, Savannah, Jesse and Bradley. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working for his dad and enjoying life. He will be greatly missed.
Eric is survived by father Francis “Buzzy” (Deb) Jensen of Drywood Community near Oglala, SD; children Savannah Jensen of California and Jesse and Bradley Jensen of Oglala, SD; brothers Robert “Duke” Jensen, Foster Jensen, and Thomas Jensen of Drywood Community near Oglala, SD and Quentin (Stella) Jensen and Louis (Sharon) Pulliam of Pine Ridge, SD; and sisters Carmen (George) Favors of Hot Springs, SD and Maurina Jensen, Tasha Pulliam and Ann (Jess) Amiotte, all of Pine Ridge, SD.
Eric was preceded in death by mother Jennifer (Black Feather) Jensen; maternal grandmother Phoebe He Crow; paternal grandparents Antone and Irene Jensen; and uncles Earl and Clement Standing Soldier and Antone “Tony” Jensen.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Eric Theodore James “T.J.” Jensen.
